Raising Independent Children

Raising independent children isn't about making them do something they think they cant. It's about showing them how they can and giving them the confidence to experience it slowly. Kids will continue to want more independence when they believe in themselves. Our goals are to give them the proper tools and guidance. It's dangerous to just assume they are ready for all forms of independence bc their friends might be. You decide which ones are important and take one at a time so a solid foundation of goals and expectations are laid out. #parenting #lifeskills
